28-Day Whole Living Detox: Day 2

Lunch, Day 2

Meeeeeeeeeett my lunch.  It’s not as gross as it looks.  Promise.  This is the  roasted garlic and beet soup that hits a whole new level with a heavy handed squeeze of lemon juice.  The soup left me feeling light but satisfied.  I also noticed feeling less swelling a few hours after lunch.  Maybe it’s too soon for the beets to have done their magic, maybe not.  Either way, it’s a surprising favorite.

Today was a lot of redundancy with yesterday, just in a different order.  What I’m finding (remembering) is the substantial amount of prep work required in this detox.  Aside from that, the headache has been in full swing for most of the day.  I’m looking forward to making it to this weekend, by which time it will hopefully have subsided.
